Bodam, 2024

Drawings with earth, stone, ink

The sheets with the title bodam* include various series, between two and eighteen sheets, totally 76 sheets. Here are some examples to see. One part was in the Groupexhibition DESERTIFICATION im Kunstverein Neuhausen, (09.29-11.29, 2024).

Barbara Karsch-Chaïeb has been working with the fine pigment for over 25 years which she receives from the Jurafango site in Bad Boll. She creates works on paper and canvas, installations and drawings. Over the years, she has also added earth pigments, earth that she digs up in places she has traveled and processes into paint. She obtains earth and stone, to which she has no access, from a dealer who travels all over the world.
