Rinde Arve Land Art process

Traces from places (bark from the Arve), 2017

Land Art, Substances from bark on linen, 38 x 38 x 6 cm

The canvas was buried between pieces of bark for two months to absorb the substances of these (Fundazun Nairs, CH).

I started the project Traces from places (stizis da lös) in 2012. Substances of earth, bark, rock, mineral springs, water and others that are found in nature are collected over a period of time in different places and captured on paper or linen. Linen substances are buried in rocks, soil or between pieces of bark. Some are attached to trees over a period of time (with earth application) and exposed to the weather.
