I’ve been on summer break for a week now; my latest projects are finished. My Land Art workshop in Mariaberg in early August went well. The only unusual thing was the extreme heat in the Swabian Alb, I’ve never experienced anything like it before. Inspired by this dryness, drought, and risk of wildfires, I created a spatial installation; I call it Fire, Ash, Wood.

August is always a lovely, peaceful month for me, when I retreat and focus on my work in the studio. Here, I can develop new works and exhibitions undisturbed.

On September 10, I will be participating in a conversation at the Kunstverein Göppingen with curator Katia Fazio about our work in the Projektraum kunst [ ] klima. On September 16, as part of the TRANSFORMATION exhibition, there will be a guided tour of the exhibition at the conference center, followed by a relaxed coffee-and-cake gathering.
The next newsletter will follow with more information.

I wish you all an inspiring August, wherever you may be!
